Punch Marine 100 Watt Full-Range Mono Amplifier (pair)

The PM100X1K full range mono amplifiers come as a left and right set. These amplifiers use Rockford Fosgate’s patent-pending BTL powered “freeload” technology. This technology uses the speaker output for power and audio signal through DC and AC offset voltages. The DC voltage is used for turn on and primary power. When power demand increases, the power load is shared by the DC and AC voltages. If high volume is turned on, all of the power comes from the AC signal and is then supplemented by its internal storage bank. By running power this way, it provides no more load to the radio other than a standard 2 or 4 ohm speaker would. The units include a 2/4 ohm input switch to match the output impedance rating of the radio circuit.

If there isn’t enough power when you turn the amplifiers on, you can use the included B+ wire to connect to other lower current circuits such as non-standard speaker outlets. To protect your speakers, these amplifiers have a selectable high pass crossover with 60, 80, and 100 hz settings. They have a high level turn on, as well as thermal protection to reduce the risk of overheating. More protection is provided by the short circuit protection and over current protection. The PM100X1K full range mono amplifiers are easy to install with its pig tail connectivity and discrete surface mount technology.
