How are in-boat speakers mounted?

In-boat speakers are designed to be mounted permanently into the sidewall of your boat for a clean, professionally installed look. These speakers sit flush with the boat’s fiberglass and take up no additional space on your boat.

Are in-boat speakers better than t-top speakers?

Any speaker’s performance will depend on the specifications of its components and there are high- and low-quality options available in both t-top and in-boat speakers. However, if aesthetics are a priority for you, in-boat speakers will deliver a much more polished look than t-top speakers and are more efficient on space-savings since they are mounted into your boat’s existing structure.

Are in-boat speakers difficult to install?

While they are more difficult to install than a clamp-on t-top speaker, in-boat speakers can be easily installed into any boat with a little time and attention to detail. Before you begin the installation process you’ll want to spend time laying out the plan for your system and checking to be sure that your intended mourning locations do not interfere with anything already installed on the boat or any pre-existing electrical components. Once you’ve got your system planned out, you’ll need to gather some simple tools like a drill, hole saw, screwdrivers, and wire strippers to do the job.

Of course, this is an incredibly simplified explanation so be sure to carefully read the installation instructions provided with the speaker(s) you choose.
